Progress and major activities for Lot 1
The Project of Construction of a New 400 kV Single Circuit Transmission Line and extension of Substations Kragujevac 2 and Kraljevo 3 is progressing accordingly to the plan. During the period July 2021 to September 2021 the following progress of work and general activities has been performed for Lot 1:
The Construction Phase for Lot 1 is in progress. All foundation works are finalized with some corrective works to be performed at few tower locations. About 85.5% of all towers (154 out of 174 towers) are assembled and erected on site, 16 out of the remaining 20 towers are assembled on the ground and prepared for erection. Erection of the remaining towers is expected by the end of October 2021. FATs for all the equipment were successfully completed. At this point, all the equipment is produced, tested, delivered to site and passed SAT. Stringing works are in progress with approximately 63% of ACS conductor, 61% ACSR conductor and 46% OPGW wire stringing completed.
The official Commencement date was on 18.05.2020.and deadline for completion is 18.01.2022.
During the following three-month period, completion of construction of the transmission line is expected as well as completion of Internal Technical Inspection and Test on Completion. Even though most of delays from the previous period were recouped, due to upcoming season of unfavorable weather condition, there might be some additional delays in finalization of erection of towers and stringing works. Nevertheless, the current dynamics of work is satisfying since almost all the works that require heavy mechanization are finalized, possible bed weather conditions couldn’t enable continuation of electrical works. With engagement of sufficient number of teams during the following three-month period construction of transmission line shall be finalized. Only remaining activities after this period shall be correction of remarks after Internal Technical Inspection and Test on Completion.
Major activities and events:
• Monthly Meeting (no. 22) was held in SS Kraljevo 3 on 08.07.2021. Main topics discussed during the meeting were as follows:
o Contractor’s Monthly Progress Report,
o Time Schedule and delays,
o Measures to be undertaken in order to avoid delay of the Project,
o Progress of works
• Monthly Meeting (no. 23) was held online on 11.08.2021. Main topics discussed during the meeting were as follows:
o Contractor’s Monthly Progress Report,
o Time Schedule and delays,
o Maintenance of local roads,
o Progress of works – documentation,
o Progress of works – site activities
• Monthly Meeting (no. 24) was held online on 10.09.2021. Main topics discussed during the meeting were as follows:
o Contractor’s Monthly Progress Report,
o Progress of works – site activities (Preparation works on towers for stringing, progress and quality of stringing works, maintenance of access roads for stringing works, tower painting),
o ESIA Report
• During the monthly meeting, it was agreed that the targeted site meeting (no. 25) referring to progress of works and all site activities would be organized on 16.09.2021. with attendance of the authorized persons (site management level) of all participants. Main subjects discussed during the meeting were as follows:
o Progress of works,
o Conditions to be fulfilled before commencement of electrical works in single tension section,
o Weekly Work Plans,
o Condition of Access roads and
o Quality of works.
• Another Technical Meeting (no. 26) was held online on 28.09.2021. in order to discuss proper solution regarding some minor issue at tower locations no. 119 and 130.
FAT and SAT activities:
• FAT for second delivery of ACSR cable was performed on 08.07.2021. FAT Report was approved on 10.08.2021.
• On 12.07.2021. the Consultant end EMS approved revised FAT Report for OPGW groundwire, since FAT was performed in period 02-11.06.2021.
• On 13.07. 2021. Drilling of additional holes for climbing bolts in Nj towers was performed in Contractor’s workshop, in presence of the representatives of the Consultant and EMS.
• On 09.07. painting of referent surfaces on chosen towers was performed. On 16.07.2021. examination of referent surfaces was successfully performed in presence of the representatives of the Consultant and EMS.
• SAT for ACS groundwire was successfully performed on 23.07.2021.
• SAT for UZ 0- 15 tower type and second lot of Nj towers after the corrective measures was successfully performed on 26.07.2021.
• SAT for OPGW groundwire was successfully performed on 25.08.2021.
• SAT for second delivery of ACSR conductor was successfully performed on 02.09.2021.
